Born in Rockwood, Tennessee, on May 16, 1986, Megan Denise Fox started taking drama and dance lessons at the age of 5 and thrived from the very beginning. Despite a move to Florida when she was 10, Megan's parents did not let their youngest daughter forgo her talent, and so the future actress continued her training.
By age 13, Megan Fox's dancing led to modeling opportunities. In 1999, she won several awards at the American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina. With this new credit, Fox began venturing into acting, and after she moved to Los Angeles, a future career in showbiz looked probable. Fox made her acting debut in 2001, appearing in the straight-to-video release Holiday in the Sun, a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen film. She then garnered a recurring role in the low-key soap opera Ocean Ave. and appeared in an episode of the Amanda Bynes series What I Like About You.
In 2004, Megan Fox joined the legion of female teens overtaking Hollywood, appearing alongside Lindsay Lohan in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. She also had a role in the TV movie Crimes of Fashion and secured a spot on the Kelly Ripa-led sitcom Hope & Faith.
As Hollywood began to take notice, Megan Fox started joining the ranks of her fellow female actresses by posing in photo spreads, like her 2005 shoot for FHM. The following year, the magazine named her No. 68 on their 100 Sexiest Women of 2006 list. And in 2007, she continued her lasting relationship with the magazine by posing in another spread in their March issue. She also ranked No. 73 with AskMen.com's Most Desirable Women of 2007.
Megan Fox's biggest break, however, came that same year when she was cast as the lead actress in the highly anticipated Transformers movie, in which she played Shia LaBeouf's love interest.
Megan Fox's star status continued to climb as she was cast in the 2008 film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. Her increased presence in Hollywood (as well as her unbelievable eyes) definitely caught the attention of fans everywhere, leading up to Megan Fox's No. 12 ranking on AskMen.com's Top 99 in 2008.
Megan Fox signed on to star in the 2008 movie Whore and the 2009 box office failure Jennifer's Body. Megan Fox's biggest job in 2009, though, was obviously her role in the second installment of Transformers -- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. As for Megan Fox's 2009 accolades, this unstoppable siren rocketed to No. 2 on AM's Top 99 Most Desirable Women list.
After nearly five years of dating, Megan and fiance Brian Austin Green called it quits in June of 2009. Men the world over were joyous -- hopeful that maybe they'd be the next name tattooed somewhere on her body. All that Megan has said on the matter is: "I'm currently what you would call single, I guess." Despite this, Brian made a cameo appearance on Saturday Night Live in October of 2009 while Fox was hosting, leading us to believe that they're back together.
Megan Fox's ridiculous popularity led to a group of men's websites, including AskMen.com, banding together to celebrate "A Day Without Megan Fox" on August 4, 2009. All of the websites involved agreed to not post anything on Fox for one day, and one day only. Crazy? Well, it's nice to take a moment to remember that there are other beautiful women out there worthy of our attention, right? Um... right?
Does Megan Fox have what it takes to win over a non-Transformers audience? Luckily for Fox, who couldn't seem to draw in the crowd to Jennifer's Body even with a little girl-on-girl action with Amanda Seyfried, she'll be sharing the big screen next opposite Oscar winner Mickey Rourke in the thriller Passion Play.
